Celebration!

(right click image and save for printing)

There's something a little sad about summer ending.
But, so much excitement comes along with bidding farewell to flip flops and sprinklers.
New teachers, new friends, new school supplies (always my favorite part), and so much more!
This month, we will be celebrating by making some of our favorite prints from the shop available to all our lovely Sissyprint readers for freebs.  I sent my little man off for the big first day of school today.

I hope he remembers this one...

The New Theme is Here!

My camera is M.I.A.  The good old cell phone had to be utilized in the meantime.

The new year is just a month away, which means the youth of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints will be receiving a new theme!  We received so much support last year (thank you!) for our Arise print, we decided to make a print for 2013 as well.

There are two versions, distressed or clean.  Sissyprint watermarks will not be visible once purchased.
For $10, you can print this goodie for each young woman in your program.  Especially for those of you who have a TON of girls, this would make a great, inexpensive Christmas gift.

But, the best part?
Just leave your email in the comments to enter!
This giveaway will end at midnight on Tuesday, December 4th.
The winner will be announced on Wednesday, December 5th.

Elaine S. Dalton - the PROS

In my church, we have a program for teenage girls called Young Women.
Elaine Dalton, who is over the entire Young Women program, came up with the PROS.
Pray, read (scriptures), obey (the commandments), and smile.
I think it's a pretty good guideline to help stay on the right track.

This is a jpeg, so just right click the image, save to your desktop and print.

Saturday

Serve with all your HEART

I whipped up this baby for a lesson I'm teaching the youth at church tomorrow. Even if you're not the same religion as I am, I think it's a common thread among all of us. When you're serving other people, you're also serving the Lord, and in that you can find happiness.

Feel free to use it!  Hope you're having a fantastic weekend!

Quoteable Monday - Dieter F. Uchtdorf

I spent the weekend at my parents' cabin.

On the bookshelf was a short read called "The Remarkable Soul of a Woman" by Dieter F. Uchtdorf.
This phrase has been replaying in my mind in the days that have followed.

"In the end, the number of prayers we say may contribute to our happiness,
but the number of prayers we answer may be of greater importance."

Service.
You never know what people are going through.
Heartache, loss, loneliness, everyday struggles.
Be the answer to their prayers.
