Day Three - Nautical Decor and Cuddly Crochet

Did you drool over the last Pottery Barn catalog?  I know I did.  This summer they boasted all things nautical.  For good reason, it's fabulous.  Our friend Lizzie creates each starfish by hand.  They are painted heirloom white and glazed with clear varnish.  They make great decorations for our nautical or shabby chic rooms and perfect decorations for weddings and parties!

But wait, there is more.

Okay, I died a little when I found these.  I was shopping for adorable beanie caps for one of my dear friend's little girl.  The best I could find was a cotton cap that was undesirably plain, gross.  At last, Lizzie has answered our hunt for the cutest, cuddly caps you will find!

To Enter:

1.  Visit Living Life Lizzie Style, and pick out your favorites!  Leave a comment with Lizzie's hand crafted items that you just cannot live without!
2.  Become a follower of Sissyprint!

Be sure to leave a way of contacting you in your comment!

The winner of this giveaway will be announced Wednesday, October 5!
GOOD LUCK!

Day One - Reusable Snack Bag Giveaway

Many women are looking for ways to run a "greener" home.
These reusable snack bags are a great way to cut back on your plastic bag use!
Plus, kids love them!  I have two snack bags from 4sweets, one in cupcake and another in pirates.  I also use them to house small toys in my purse, which definitely comes to the rescue when we eat out.  The oversized button closure is also nice, making it easier for little fingers to maneuver. I love snack bags.

To enter:
1. Visit the 4sweets etsy shop, pick out your favorite print,
and leave a comment mentioning which snag bag you would like should you win!
2. Become a follower of Sissyprint!
Be sure to leave a way of contacting you within your comment.

The winner of this giveaway will be randomly selected and announced Monday, October 3.
Happy giveaway week!

Halloween Children's Rhyme

My mother sang this song to us when we were children.
Now, during the month of October, my own children sing this rhyme.
We scream the boo part, or sometimes we sing the words in a really spooky whisper.
They love it.

Although this particular item was designed to fit an 8x10 frame in my home,
this would be great to go along with Halloween party invitations or favors!

Thursday

Don't miss it!  There are some awesome gives coming for giveaway week.
So, mark your calendars and check back!
There will be a giveaway every single day of the week!
Woohoo!

Wednesday

Elaine S. Dalton - the PROS

In my church, we have a program for teenage girls called Young Women.
Elaine Dalton, who is over the entire Young Women program, came up with the PROS.
Pray, read (scriptures), obey (the commandments), and smile.
I think it's a pretty good guideline to help stay on the right track.

This is a jpeg, so just right click the image, save to your desktop and print.

Quotable Monday - unique card and envelope

The other day, I was flipping through some old books that had belonged to my grandfather. While flipping through the pages, a petite envelope fell out, accompanied by an equally unique card. I thought the sizing of the set was charming and original, which inspired me to make this set.

"The best way to predict your future is to create it."
Secretly slip some inspiration into your child's backpack before school, use it as a gift card for an upcoming college graduation, or use it for yourself as a reminder to be proactive in the quality of your own future.

Freebie Friday - Canning Labels

Okay, let's be honest.  I have a slight obsession with glass jars.  I bought like two flats of them last week. Oops.  I have this image in my head that I am going to can peaches, make jams or lemon curd and give them to friends and family.  I am still working on the actual canning part, but I thought I would start by designing some labels.

And really, sometimes, nothing is more darling than organizing by color.  Enjoy!

Quotable Monday - C. Malesherbes

What feels like a million summers ago, I met a friend while living in Hawaii.  He was an old soul, this friend.  I remember one day he asked, "Addie, what would you do with your life if you knew you would not fail?"  I know right, deep.

If I knew I wouldn't fail, I would take a lot more risks.

I think we all underestimate our potential to do so much good in the world, in our families, for ourselves.

Dear readers, this week please seek to understand your divine worth, recognize your true potential, and realize what you can really accomplish.

Because you really can accomplish great things.

Freebie Friday - monthly dinner calendar

Remember a few months ago when this gem was the Freebie Friday printable?

Well, it turned out to be so popular that I decided to expand this awesome organization tool into a Monthly Dinner Calendar.
Now not only can you budget in style, you can spice up your meal plans with this lovely {not to mention matching} dinner calendar!

This is such a great organization tool for all of you wives, moms or even nannies trying to get it all together. This not only helps you with the grocery shopping, but it makes it so you don't have to mull over what to make for dinner right when your ready to eat!

It's time to take my own organization advice and get to planning!

Couples Road Trip Questions

My husband and I are going on a four day road trip to Durango.
Our first official vacation together, sans kids, in over six years.
We have a nine hour drive ahead of us.

So, I came up with sixty Couples Road Trip Questions to help pass the time.
Some are silly, some are serious, some might embarrass you a little
(like admitting Meet the Kardashians is my guilty pleasure... I know, I know).

I designed them in black so you can get colorful with your paper selections.
But, all have been created to socially reconnect
with your lovuh while out on the open road.
Happy trails to you.

Monday

Quotable Monday- Oscar Wilde

Happy Labor Day everyone!! We hope you had such a fun and fabulous weekend!

We sure did! We spent our weekend in the lovely mountains of Idaho. Talk about gorgeous! A lovely landscape, delicious food and wonderful people to talk to all day long... I don't think life could get any better.

Today's quote comes from Oscar Wilde.
"Be yourself; everyone else is taken."

A quote that rings sooo true.
It's so easy to compare ourselves to all of the amazing women around us. And although it is a great thing to see the good in others and strive to be a little better, we should never be anything but ourselves!

Because ourself is the best kind!! :)
Hopefully your fun hasn't quite come to an end! Enjoy the rest of this beautiful holiday!

Friday

Happy Birthday banner

If you have a birthday coming up, this Happy Birthday flag banner is a breeze to make.

There are seven pages to this printable.  Use a paper cutter to slice down the center of the page, then use scissor to cut along the inverted line at the bottom of the page.  String the flags along some twine and hang for the birthday festivities.  Colorful and clean, just how we like it.

The sissies are going here this weekend.  Isn't Idaho beautiful? Outdoor movie night, mexican horseshoe tournament, lots of food, and lots of laughs can be expected.
See you next week!
