Wednesday

Is bedtime a battle at your house?  It sure is at mine.
It's the end of the day.
The kids are tired, I'm tired.

I know I've made a bajillion reward charts on Sissyprint, but they help make the world go `round at my house.  It encourages the kids to do their best and helps me out in the long run.  Plus, they love getting to put up a sticker when they've done a good job.

I'm kicking off the Super Sleepers club at mi casa this week.  Fingers crossed.
Hopefully the Super Sleepers chart will help make your sleepy time a cinch, too.
Wanna give it a whirlsy with me?

Let me know how it goes!

I hope you enjoy this tribal feeling design. I'm diggin' all things tribal these days!

freebie friday - oh, the places you'll go! invitations

Call me a creeper, I don't care.  When I walk through the children's books, I will continue to purchase Dr. Seuss books.  I love them.  I really, really do.  I think they are cleverly written and just adorable. AND even though I am not yet a mom, that doesn't mean I shouldn't be starting the library, right?

I get my maternal practicing with my primary class. I love those tender kids, and we decided it was a great time to have a party!  This is the invite I designed for those cuties, and I would love to share the fun of Dr. Seuss with you!

Personalize it for birthdays, going away parties, graduation, oh my.  The possibilities!
Print them and love them.

And will you succeed?  Yes!  You will, indeed!
(98 and 3/4% guaranteed).

Monday

The year of the Dragon

Welcome to 2012 everyone!
Many of you are kicking off the new year with resolutions.
Mine?  Eating healthier, exercising, more positivity. Much of the world is probably intending to the same, thus this weekly food journal to track your daily caloric intake.

My aunt did a health kick where you drank a gallon of water each day, ate healthier, exercised, and jotted down 100 things she was grateful for each and every day.  It worked.  She looked great!
And the 100 things a day?  What a fantastic idea to implement the positive in your day.
Count your blessings!

Notice the dragon scales in the background of the chart?
It is the year of the dragon, after all.

Saturday

Freebie Friday- But Saturday! Luggage Tags

I just got home from a wonderful Thanksgiving week trip in the beautiful state of Ohio!
I was visiting the cutest babies you ever did see!
{I claim them as my own!}

Yesterday was a travel day, thats why it was void of anything "Freebie Friday". Sorry about that!
As I was flying from state to state, I thought about how this is the time of year that a lot of us are out visiting the ones we love most.
So, I thought why not make luggage tags for all of those times we are flying on a jet plane?!

{luggage tags measure 4.25x2.25}

You can pick between any of the three. Blue for boys, pink for girls, and a little vintage airplane to add a touch of somethin' special!

Happy Flying to you!

Friday

freebie friday - thanksgiving name cards

Let's be honest about Thanksgiving.

There is nothing better than walking into the dining room and sitting down next to those you love at a beautiful table.  [Okay, the food is probably better.  Especially if you cook like our mother Jonas.]

But how do you feel about spicing up the decor a little with personalized place settings for each guest?  How about a pear dipped in chocolate and rolled in diced almonds?  Or maybe a homemade caramel apple drizzled in white chocolate?

Slice the top and place one of these name cards inside.

Voila!  A free, delicious, easy way to make every guest feel welcomed to a special holiday dinner!

Friday

Freebie Friday- Halloween Coasters

Holy cow ladies! Are you wondering where in the heck we've been this week? Well, there is something that comes around once a semester called midterms... and they kicked my tooshie!
With that being said, I'm so sorry that there was no Quotable Monday this week and that this Freebie Friday really should be considered Freebie Saturday! Blah. Tests are finished, projects turned in and I'm ready to show you these darling Halloween coasters!

(It's hard to see that mummy, but I promise he's there!)
I started this project by going to my local craft store and picking up a package of 4inch cork coasters. I grabbed my mod podge and printed off the graphics on card stock.

I started cutting and mod podging and 15 minutes later I had myself some fun and festive 'safe guards' for my coffee table!

I have to preface the coaster with the mustache... My husband looked at it and said, "WHAT?"
Maybe my mind is the only one that thinks this way, but it says, "I mustache (must ask) you to use me for your drink"... funny right?! Right!? :)

Yes, I thoroughly enjoyed that pumpkin spice cake cookie!

Oh how I love Halloween!

I hope these little darlings can find a place on your table! Or even used as a tag for some goodies!

I may be a little lame.. but I can't get our normal downloading system to work.. therefore we are going back to the pre-historic age and using google docs for this one! As soon as I figure it out I will change it.

Freebie Friday - Canning Labels

Okay, let's be honest.  I have a slight obsession with glass jars.  I bought like two flats of them last week. Oops.  I have this image in my head that I am going to can peaches, make jams or lemon curd and give them to friends and family.  I am still working on the actual canning part, but I thought I would start by designing some labels.

And really, sometimes, nothing is more darling than organizing by color.  Enjoy!

Freebie Friday - monthly dinner calendar

Remember a few months ago when this gem was the Freebie Friday printable?

Well, it turned out to be so popular that I decided to expand this awesome organization tool into a Monthly Dinner Calendar.
Now not only can you budget in style, you can spice up your meal plans with this lovely {not to mention matching} dinner calendar!

This is such a great organization tool for all of you wives, moms or even nannies trying to get it all together. This not only helps you with the grocery shopping, but it makes it so you don't have to mull over what to make for dinner right when your ready to eat!

It's time to take my own organization advice and get to planning!

Bon Appetit!

Happy Birthday banner

If you have a birthday coming up, this Happy Birthday flag banner is a breeze to make.

There are seven pages to this printable.  Use a paper cutter to slice down the center of the page, then use scissor to cut along the inverted line at the bottom of the page.  String the flags along some twine and hang for the birthday festivities.  Colorful and clean, just how we like it.

The sissies are going here this weekend.  Isn't Idaho beautiful? Outdoor movie night, mexican horseshoe tournament, lots of food, and lots of laughs can be expected.
See you next week!
